Hi, Sheree! I recall from your comment on one of my previous posts that we share a penguin adoration. That little jabberer captured my heart too.

What a GREAT idea to do a post like this. One uplifting video after another! I can feel my soul expand and my humanity return as I watch them. I especially love the examples of animals (even fish!) and humans interacting in loving and respectful ways. And that monkey was so patient (with one paw in her/his mouth…) while the human cut open and shared the delicious watermelon! THANK YOU!!!

And what a great response, Will! I do love exploring the human-animal bond, though I haven’t done so often enough. THANK YOU for conveying this gratifying reaction!!!

Monkeys in nature tend to live in groups where they have to contend with dominant monkeys who expect them to be patient, or else. That’s how they learn it. A human, being bigger, probably registers as a dominant monkey. The human, however, sees himself as the host and serves his guest first. All very civilized.
What was the little penguin telling mommy?
“I didn’t do it!”
“He started it!”
“It wasn’t my fault!”
Or things of that nature, I suspect.
No painting project is complete without a cat to supervise it. But heaven help her if she gets any paint drips on the cat.
