My Fifth Blogoversary: A Simple Acrostic

B logging has become the
L oveliest, previously unimagined
O pening to a world of
G enerous, creative, thoughtfully
O pinionated and oh-so-
V erbal colleagues, friends,
E ducators. I find this
R obust blogosphere
S cintillating in ways I’d never
A nticipated, and I offer my
R esounding gratitude to
Y ou who are journeying with me.

Warmest thanks to my blogging and non-blogging readers and commenters. If you have constructive suggestions concerning how I can make my blog more user-friendly, please send them to me via Contact. I’ve been planning to get rid of my home page and to add categories, but that thought resides in my brain in close proximity to my intention to clean out my closets.

  1. Clearly a milestone of verse-worthy note;
    Outstanding blog, and now five years afloat!
    Now you lay claim to a posting career,
    Greater than how long Trump ruled — by one year.
    Remarkable!

    All of us readers will keep coming back,
    To see you pwn him, or some media hack.
    Undaunted, you then write things not from the news,
    Like posts about lemmings, or didgeridoos.
    Appreciated!

    To turn to your ask on “improving” the blog,
    I’ve no hints to offer, your in-box to clog.
    Outstanding it already is, so I’d say;
    No changes are needed — just do it your way.
    So all the best for another five years!

  2. Happy wood anniversary! Categories sounds like boundaries which brings to mind silos. I’m a free range chicken and a firm believer in the maxim “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. It ain’t broke.

  3. Love your creative acrostics! Congratulations on this anniversary … here’s to many more 🥂 And no, I wouldn’t change a thing! Your blog is user-friendly, easy to read, and not cluttered like some I’ve seen. As my late ex-husband used to say, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” (And I’m right there with you on the closet-cleaning … been threatening it for a year-and-a-half now!)

    1. Such an encouraging comment, Jill. Much appreciated! Perhaps some day soon we can have a virtual toast to our strengthened democracy—and then attack our closets! Many thanks for your support.
