Rorschach Test or Garbage?

Or both?

Anyway, I have no idea of the provenance of this, but I cannot stop laughing.

Thanks to tengrain for this superb example of a rare artistic achievement I’m calling collage de garbage.

May it be a harbinger of things to come–very soon–from New York…and Fulton, Georgia…and the Department of Justice…and perhaps other jurisdictions where prosecutors are at last emboldened to seek justice regarding crimes the Mafia-Donald-Pretending-to-Be-President has committed.

Speaking of the Department of Justice, I heard an interesting speculation (that’s all it is, but it makes sense) on a fascinating podcast called Jack. The podcast is following the work of Special Counsel Jack Smith as he investigates the Mar-a-Lago and January 6th Insurrection cases.

The knowledgeable co-hosts, identified in the above link, mentioned the surprising speed and strength the International Criminal Court (ICC) demonstrated in issuing an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin as a war criminal based on his unlawful deportation and unlawful transfer of Ukrainian children to Russia. Reminding listeners that Jack Smith had previously prosecuted war crimes in the ICC, they conjectured that his staff there may have been emboldened by his leadership in acting so decisively toward Putin.

Though Putin probably won’t face trial, he can no longer travel to 123 countries without risking arrest. The ICC’s warrant has significantly shrunken his world.

Many legal observers have given Smith credit for his swift, aggressive, bold actions since he’s taken over the Trump investigations. I am heartened that he and his team may significantly shrink Donald Trump’s world as well.

Your thoughts?

  1. Hahaha that’s brilliant. I can’t not see the face, no matter how hard to I try. I love things like this, the random fun-ness in the most seemingly mundane elements of life. Even the trash 😆

I’ve been reading about the ‘predicament’ Trump is in but I find it hard to imagine a man like him, the biggest fish in a man’s world, getting arrested or ever seeing the inside of a prison cell. But you never know. It makes me wonder what’ll happen next because Trump won’t just let this happen and sit patiently where he is for fear of arrest. It’s like a soap opera.

    1. Hi, Caz. So good to hear from you! I emailed you weeks ago bc I still don’t get your post notifications. I can read them on the Internet, but I can’t like/comment. I would sign on again, but the view I see doesn’t show me where to do that. I’ll keep trying.

I’m delighted you enjoyed the image, which makes me giggle every time I look at it. As for Trump, I live in hope. The good news is that so far, there hasn’t been the kind of “noise” we now know preceded the Jan 6 violence. It is like a soap opera—a bad one that must be canceled!

    1. And the first rude sketch that the world had seen was joy to his mighty heart,

  2. Al Franken is currently guest hosting the Daily Show, reminding me of how unfair it is that he had to pay the ultimate price for sexual misconduct accusations (no investigation, just repeated demands by prominent Democrats for his resignation), while Trump still hasn’t had to pay for inciting a riot, asking Georgia authorities to “find” him additional votes, unlawful possession of government records, and more. Trump’s face does indeed belong in the garbage—and Trump himself, even if he’s never arrested, should at least be prohibited from running for office again.

    1. I agree with both your points, Gail. I did hear a bit of Franken discussing his interview with Lindsey Graham on the Daily Show the night before. Turns out ol’ Lindsey, who I think has demonstrated that he’s an amoral, sniveling hypocrite, is a very funny amoral sniveling hypocrite.
