Is There Anything Funny About the Coronavirus Pandemic?

How about this?

I understand this cartoon appeared on FaceBook. If anyone knows the originator, I would love to give him/her credit.

I dedicate this post to my late friend Peter, who said–under the worst possible circumstances for him–

“Remember to laugh!”

UPDATE: I’m pretty sure we’ve located the creator. Thanks to a tip from my ace researcher friend Fran Kaufman, who also sent me the cartoon, I journeyed from a Twitter thread to FaceBook, eventually finding a message from a woman named Susan Madsen stating the following:

“MY SISTER ALICE MADSEN drew this. It’s HER Original work!”

So thank you, Fran, and Brava, Alice Madsen! Your work brought a whimsical touch of humor to many people who sorely needed it.

    1. I just got another cartoon from my daughter, who’s a professional dog trainer. One dog, wrapped in a protective garment, tells another: “The news is so bad these days that I have to read it in my thundershirt.” But I wasn’t sure how many people know about thundershirts, which are designed to calm animals reactive to storms and other loud noises.

      1. Good idea – never thought of that. Yup, TP was sold out, as was dishwasher soap, pulp-free OJ and potatoes. Crazy times!

  1. I think I need one of those, as I am a terribly active face-toucher.

I agree that we need to see the humor where we can. For example, I am sitting in a Comcast/Xfinity store. I am quitting their service today and would you believe that I need to wait in line to do so.

Is it terrible that I’m thinking about starting to cough loudly?

    1. No; it’s not terrible that you’re thinking about starting to cough loudly—as long as you are trained in CPR and are willing to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on the little old lady near you who has a coronary as a result…
