The President’s beloved wall
Designed to keep our borders “pure”
Of those who seek refuge from harm
Could not withstand a high wind
That mercilessly forced it from its moorings
And onto the trees of Mexico,
Where it tottered, not a sentinel of boldness,
But an homage to failure.
The President who denies climate change
And the humanity of brown-skinned people from
Not so far away
Received an unmistakable jolt
From Mother Nature herself.
She is not happy.
